Studio Policy
Please read our listed rules and policies before you arrive at the studio. If you have any further questions about any of these policies, please feel free to contact us.

In order to secure your booking, our secretary may ask you to pay a non-refundable $100 deposit. This will come off the final price of your tattoo, and must be paid in-person with cash.
If you cancel with at least 24 hours notice, your deposit will be moved to your rescheduled appointment, no questions asked. If you cancel day-of * or do not show up for your appointment, your deposit will be kept as a no-show fee.
*if your appointment is cancelled day-of because of unavoidable circumstances (ie. your artist cancels the appointment, there is an unexpected accident, sickness or death) we will still honor your depo

With tattoos in very high demand, you must be prepared to wait a while for your booking request to be processed. Depending on the time of year, wait times can range from several days to more than a week, and we request that you remain patient.
If you are in Gander, you are welcome to visit the studio and check availability with us. We may also be able to book you in person.
-
If you are running late for your appointment, we request you let us know immediately through the phone or, if we are not yet open, text or Facebook message (include your name and appointment time so we know who you are.) We understand that much of our clientele comes from 1+ hours out of town, so if you have not arrived by your appointment time, we will always check if you have messaged.
If you do not contact us, we give a 10-15 minute grace period before your appointment is considered a no-show and your deposit will be void. If there are other clients waiting, your appointment will likely be given away at this time.
-
If you do not show up to your appointment without 24 hours notice (or letting us know at all), we may enact the following:
If we haven’t heard from you up to 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time, your deposit will be kept as a no-show fee.
After those 15 minutes, your appointment will either be given away or considered cancelled and replaced with a walk-in slot.
If you have requested a custom piece that needs significant redraws/an original, custom drawing, your artist reserves the right to post the design in question and/or make it available for purchase to the general public. We will typically wait a couple days to make sure you have not/will not contact to reserve/reschedule your design before we do this.
If you repeatedly fail to show up to your appointments without 24 hours notice, we reserve the right to refuse to book you for future appointments.
-
In the winter months, we do not allow outdoor footwear past the lobby. We suggest you bring your own indoor shoes, but if you forget we can provide slides in limited sizes.
-
Any verbal, sexual and/or physical harassment towards our secretary, artists or clients will NOT be tolerated. Belligerence, insults, threats, physical violence, etc, will be met with swift consequences, including: the cancellation of your pending appointments, refusal of future appointments, your number being blocked and/or an escort from the premises.
-
As with your deposit, your tattoo is NOT REFUNDABLE under any circumstances.
In the unlikely scenario that your artist has made a mistake in your tattoo, they will gladly fix it/apply touch-ups free of charge. There is always something we can do.
-
If you require touch-ups on your tattoo, we offer free, courtesy touch-ups for up to a year after your original tattoo appointment. Touch-ups cannot be done until the tattoo is fully healed (approximately 6 weeks).
Certain areas (such as hands, fingers, feet, head, face and neck) have a different skin quality than the rest of your body and, more often than not, will not hold ink properly from the first application and require multiple touch-ups. These are also free for the first year, but it is your responsibility to book follow-up appointments within that time.
If it is revealed that your touch-up is due to your own negligence (ie. getting your tattoo dirty, picking at it, not properly following aftercare instructions), we will still waive your touch-up fee, but may ask questions to determine the cause of the touch-up and instruct you on proper care. If you continuously neglect the care of your tattoo, we may decide to charge you for multiple touch-ups and, possibly, refuse to tattoo you in the future as a matter of safety.
-
Out of respect for other artists, we will not copy or duplicate custom pieces. This goes for any custom design that our artists have created for other clients. If you fall in love with a design, your artist will work to create something similar with you. This will be done at the beginning of your appointment, and you will not be charged for the time it takes to design your tattoo.
If you are requesting a custom drawn tattoo from any of our artists, please understand that this is a lengthier process:
You are welcome to book a half-hour consultation to discuss your ideas with an artist, but sending a detailed description and/or reference pictures to our secretary during the booking process will also suffice.
Your artist will NOT begin drawing until you have made your appointment and paid the $100 deposit.
Typically, the artist will not complete the drawing until the day before your appointment, so please refrain from hounding them for updates. Any changes that you want to make to the design, if any, can be made during the design period of your appointment.
To protect our artist’s work, we reject all requests to be sent copies of the design online or over text message.
If you change your idea with less than 24 hours notice, you may be charged a last-minute-commission fee on top of the price of your tattoo. The fee can be anywhere between $20-$50, depending on the size of the tattoo and how much time the artist had put into drawing the original idea before it was changed. This also may be added if you do not show up to your initial appointment.
If you do not show up for your custom tattoo appointment (without notice, explanation or rescheduling), your artist reserves the right to post the design in question and/or make it available for purchase to the general public.
-
Unless they have a piercing appointment, anyone UNDER 18 is not allowed in the studio.
This includes children of clients. If you have a young child or infant, please make sure you have arranged childcare, as they will not be allowed to wait in the studio (lobby or otherwise) while you are being tattooed. .
If you bring a minor in for a piercing, please be advised that this is an ADULT SPACE and your child may be exposed to nudity and adult language.
-
Pets are not allowed in the studio unless they are certified service animals and are absolutely necessary to bring.
Even then, the health code dictates that animals are not allowed in the tattooing area under any circumstances, and must stay in the lobby.
-
If you would like to bring a friend, partner or family member to sit with you while you are getting tattooed, we request that you only invite ONE person. This reduces shop overcrowding, minimizes noise/disruptions, and ensures that your artist has enough room to work safely and sanitarily.
The only exception to this is if you are booked for a group tattoo, where multiple people are being tattooed by the same artist. Even then, if the group is too large, we may ask some individuals to wait in the lobby until their turn.
-
To minimize disruptions, ensure focus and keep our shop a quiet, relaxing environment for our clients and artists, we ask that you put your cell phone on silent during your appointment. If you must take a call during your tattoo, please ask your artist if you can take a phone break so you can take the call in the lobby or outside.
If you want to watch videos or listen to music other than what we are playing in the studio, we request that you bring headphones.
